Plan for flexible lighting

Pendant lights are great for defining zones in open plan areas. But instead of having a pendant light that hangs straight down from it’s wiring point, and thus defines where your dining table must be, run a longer loop of wire from your wiring point to a hook and down from there to your light.

Then when you fancy moving your dining table after a year you just need to reposition the hook. Much easier than having to rewire your light fitting!
